Why Your Science Presentation Sucks...and How to Fix it

Presentation Sucks A4.png

Let’s face it, explaining your scientific research so that it’s accurate and comprehensible can be hard. However, explaining it in a way that’s engaging, interesting and that hooks an audience from start to finish is even harder. While we get training on the former, rarely do we get training on the latter.

In this interactive workshop, you will learn:

  • How delivering engaging presentations can boost your career

  • The importance of understanding your audience

  • Ways to make your science sound more interesting

  • Tips to make your presentation stand out

  • Strategies to improve your presenting skill

This workshop will be delivered by zoom for the EMCR network at the research institutes of University of Queensland (AIBN, IMB, QBI)
